SIRDC wants NMI laboratory equipment across 85 lines — mass pieces from 1mg to 20kg in E1, E2 and F1, an ultra-microbalance, multiproduct and torque calibrators, hardness standards, SPRTs, blackbody sources and AAS. Bid security 5 000. Bids close 26 October 2026 at 00:00 CAT.
Supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of National Metrology Institute laboratory equipment for SIRDC at 1574 Alpes Road, Hatcliffe, across 85 lines.
Mass: 50 F1 mass pieces at 20kg, E2 pieces at 2kg, 5kg and 10kg, a full E1 set from 1mg to 20kg, an ultra-microbalance to 7 decimal places, a microbalance and an analytical balance.
Electrical: a reference multimeter, a multiproduct calibrator, an oscilloscope, 2 insulation resistance calibrators and 4 tachometers.
Temperature: SPRTs, blackbody sources including a high-temperature unit above 1 200°C, dry block and dry well calibrators, stirred liquid baths, thermocouples in K, J and R, pyrometers, data loggers, a laboratory oven and refrigerator.
Mechanical: a torque calibrator, force transducers, gauge blocks, and calibration standards for Shore, Vickers, Brinell, Rockwell and Mohs hardness.
Chemistry: certified reference materials for ICP-OES, graphite AAS with lamps, GC headspace, microscopes, a centrifuge, pH and conductivity meters, ultrasonicators and a food texture analyser.

Watch out for
The published extract shows 61 lines and notes 24 more, so download the full schedule before pricing.
This is national metrology equipment, where accuracy class is everything — the mass pieces are specified to OIML classes E1, E2 and F1, but most other lines carry no accuracy or uncertainty specification at all.
Calibration certificates traceable to national or international standards would normally be essential on equipment of this kind, and the notice does not mention them.
Installation and commissioning are in scope across 85 lines spanning mass, electrical, temperature, mechanical and chemistry disciplines — few single suppliers cover all of them, so confirm whether the lines can be bid in parts.
A bid security of 5 000 is among the largest on the board; confirm the currency and instrument.
Bid validity is 90 days on what is almost entirely imported instrumentation.
