ZETDC wants CCTV designed, installed, tested and commissioned at 67 primary substations and service centres across Harare region — from Mbare and Kuwadzana to Chitungwiza and Mt Hampden with a 16 600 bid security. Bids close 27 November 2026 at 10:00 CAT.
The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company is procuring the design, installation, testing and commissioning of CCTV systems across its Harare region, with each site priced as its own line — 67 in all.
The list runs across the whole region: substations including Aces, Birches, Stamford, Dorset, Mabelreign, Lincoln, Strathaven, Pomona, Morgans, Hatfield, Prince Edward, Graniteside, Airport, Ruwa, Manresa, Cranborne, Hillside, Arcturus, Willowvale, Mbare, Budiriro, Glenview, Glen Norah, Kuwadzana, Mufakose, Kambuzuma, Workington and Mt Hampden, the Chitungwiza and Seke sites, and customer service centres and halls at Kuwadzana, Borrowdale, Warren Park, Glenview and the CBD.
Design is inside the scope, so the bidder produces the system design as well as installing it. No camera counts, coverage requirements or technical standards are published on the listing.
The contract runs one year at Harare, funded from internally generated funds. It is run as competitive bidding with 90-day bid validity, and a bid security of 16 600 is required — the notice does not state the currency. It is the largest bid security on the board.

What it costs to enter
A bid security of 16 600 is required (the notice does not state the currency)
Watch out for
Sixty-seven separate sites, each priced individually, with no camera counts or coverage specification published for any of them.
Design is part of the scope, so the bid needs design capability, not just installation.
The bid security is the largest currently on the board, so entering costs real money before anything is won.
Work inside live primary substations carries access and safety constraints the notice does not address.
Bid validity is 90 days.
