supply and delivery of public lighting materials and accessories
The City of Harare wants 7 200 LED street light fittings — 5 000 of them hybrid grid and-solar units — split between 30–50W and 160–200W. Bids close 2 October 2026 at 17:00 CAT.
A large public lighting order in four lines. The hybrid units, running on both 220–250V AC grid and solar, are 3 000 fittings at 30–50 watts and 2 000 at 160–200 watts. The grid-only LED units are 1 200 at 160–200 watts and 1 000 at 30–50 watts. That is 7 200 fittings in total, over a 6-month delivery period, under the competitive bidding method. The wattages are given as ranges rather than fixed figures, which leaves a wide band on an order this size. More significantly, the hybrid lines say nothing about the solar side — no panel rating, battery capacity, autonomy or controller — and on a hybrid fitting that is most of the cost. No lumen output, IP rating, colour temperature or pole and bracket arrangement is published either.
