Zimbabwe Power Company wants a full sanitaryware and plumbing load for Hwange Power Station — 16 toilets, 16 wash hand basins, 10 jockey urinals, taps, copper fittings and PVC drainage across 33 lines. Bids close 5 October 2026 at 10:00 CAT.

Zimbabwe Power Company is buying plumbing and sanitaryware for Hwange Power Station, delivered within 14 days on internally generated funds. At 33 lines this is a refurbishment load rather than a maintenance top-up. The sanitaryware is 16 close-coupled toilet sets, 16 wash hand basins with pedestals, 10 jockey urinals with flush mechanisms, eight shower roses, arms and traps, 18 chrome-plated pillar taps and 12 chrome-plated bib taps, with 24 basin fixing bolts. The pipework is 18 six-metre lengths of 15mm copper pipe with 52 copper compression elbows, 42 straight couplings, 22 tee pieces and 42 female elbows; 22 15mm angle valves, 12 under-wall stop cocks, 12 short and 16 long flexible connectors and 16 galvanised plugs. The drainage is eight six-metre 50mm PVC pipes with 28 elbows and 28 tee pieces, 18 32mm to 40mm S-traps, four 50mm to 110mm reducers, four six-metre 110mm underground pipes, six gulley P-traps, six gulley heads and grates, four rodding eyes and 12 tins of 500ml solvent cement. Three descriptions are cut off mid-word in the notice, and several lines mix pack size with quantity. The full tender document was not available to us, so download it from the source before pricing.

Low effort to bid.

Written from the published notice — the full tender document was not available to us. Download it from the source before bidding: eligibility rules, fees and specifications may only appear there.

• No tender document fee — the bid form fee is listed as 0
• Bids must stay valid for 30 days

• Three line descriptions are truncated mid-word — the toilet set, the wash hand basin and the jockey urinal — so the most expensive items on the list are the least completely described
• Several lines state a pack size then a quantity in a different unit, such as four kilograms of a 2kg plumbers delight and 22 rolls against twenty rolls of thread tape
• Product codes are wrong on many lines, with copper fittings, S-traps and PVC pipe all coded as a PVC plastic pipe elbow, and thread tape coded as taps
• A 33-line order with sanitaryware and pipework delivered to Hwange, so freight and breakage on ceramics are real costs
