The substantive work: cut, fill and compact 8,000 square metres of roadbed to 90% modified AASHTO density to form the subgrade; then import and compact gravel to 93% modified AASHTO across two lines of 1,560 and 312 cubic metres. The preliminaries are separately priced: mobilisation and demobilisation of plant, time related obligations, a flagman, and 4 movable chevron and 'road closed' barricades which remain with the client after completion.
