Makonde District Hospital is restocking its pharmacy. The two largest lines by far are injectables: 6 000 vials of benzylpenicillin and 6 000 of procaine benzylpenicillin, alongside 600 vials of ceftriaxone 1g and 200 vials of hydrocortisone injection. The oral lines are ordered by the box: 400 boxes of nifedipine 20mg (100 per box), 100 boxes of ciprofloxacin 500mg (100 per box), 100 boxes of amoxicillin 250mg (1 000 per box) and 50 boxes of doxycycline 100mg (1 000 per box). Smaller quantities round it out — 200 of paracetamol 500mg, and 100 each of adrenaline ampoules, atropine ampoules and phenobarbitone 30mg. Delivery is to CPH Makonde District within 7 days, funded from the regular agency fund, with quotations valid for 30 days.
