Manyame Rural District Council is buying protective clothing across 14 lines, several of them specified in unusual detail. Footwear and outerwear: 250 pairs of black high-cut Lemaitre safety shoes, 250 black natural rubber gumboots, 250 branded royal blue reflective work suits in drill material with buckled trousers, zip-line, zipped side and chest pockets and front and back branding, and 250 branded royal blue PVC vinyl rainsuits with fixed capped hoods and zipped pockets throughout. Gloves and masks: 200 pairs of long-sleeved and 200 pairs of short-sleeved red heavy duty PVC gloves, 200 boxes of 100 latex gloves, 500 boxes of 50 surgical masks and 500 boxes of 50 dust masks. Coats and headwear: 200 branded white dust coats and 100 branded royal blue dust coats, both drill material with zipped pockets and a middle zip-line; 1 000 white kitchen hair covering cooking hats; 300 branded khaki sun hats; and eight branded black reflective acid proof work suits. Delivery is to Manyame RDC over one year, funded from internally generated funds. It is run as competitive bidding with 90-day bid validity.
