Urban Councils and Rural District Councils (By-Laws) (Repeal) Regulations, 2026

The Minister of Local Government and Public Works has repealed 24 by-laws that were published as statutory instruments in 2025.

- Plumtree Town (14): anti-litter; traffic, clamping and tow-away; control of livestock; hawkers and vendors; registration and licensed premises; noise; fire; cemeteries; dog licensing and control; environmental and natural resources conservation; advertising; taxi-cabs; hairdressers', beauticians' and barbers' shops; and water, sewerage and drainage (S.I.s 89–98, 107, 109, 110 and 112 of 2025) - City of Masvingo (4): dog licensing and control; environmental and natural resources conservation; hawkers and vendors; and anti-litter (S.I.s 100, 102, 118 and 121 of 2025) - Insiza Rural District Council (4): traffic, clamping and tow-away; environmental and natural resources conservation; registration and licensed premises; and anti-litter (S.I.s 114–117 of 2025) - Uzumba Maramba Pfungwe Zvataida Rural District Council (2): mining and mineral panning; and environmental and natural resources conservation (S.I.s 75 and 83 of 2025)

The regulations give no reason for the repeals and put nothing in their place, so they do not say which rules now apply in those areas. No commencement date is stated.
