Broadcasting (Listener's Licences) (Fees) (Amendment)

Radio and TV listener's licence fees are reset from 15 January 2026: US$5 a year rural sound, US$10 urban, US$24 sound and television, US$100 a year for TV on business premises and US$28 a term for a private car radio.

The Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services has replaced the Second Schedule to the Broadcasting (Listeners' Licences) Regulations, 2003 with a new fee table.

The annual fees are US$5 for a rural sound licence, US$10 for an urban sound licence, US$24 for sound and television, US$50 for sound on business premises and US$100 for television on business premises.

Vehicle licences are charged per four-month term: US$28 for sound in a private vehicle, US$30 for sound in an employer-owned vehicle and US$30 for sound and television in a vehicle.

The new fees take effect on 15 January 2026 and may be paid in local currency at the prevailing market rate.
