Public Notice 26 of 2026 Extension for submission of Income Tax Returns (ITF12C) for tax year ended 31 December 2025
ZIMRA extended the deadline for 2025 income tax self-assessment returns (ITF12C) and non-FDS employee returns (ITF1) from 30 April to 30 May 2026.
Income tax self-assessment returns (ITF12C) and returns for individuals in employment who are not on FDS (ITF1) for the tax year ended 31 December 2025 were due on 30 April 2026. ZIMRA has extended the due date to 30 May 2026.
ZIMRA says the extension gives complying taxpayers the opportunity to submit correct returns. It also reminds taxpayers to file outstanding returns for previous years, and points to Public Notice 25 on voluntary disclosure and Public Notice 19 on tax compliance obligations for trusts.
The notice was issued on 30 April 2026.
